Our Client is a unique and award-winning wedding and events venue in Gloucestershire, and we are looking to expand our housekeeping team.
We are recruiting for a Head Housekeeper to manage all cleaning operations across the house. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing the housekeeping team, maintaining our exceptionally high standards, and ensuring every guest enjoys a spotless room and beautiful surroundings.
You will lead by example, cleaning rooms and reception spaces to our standards while motivating and training the team to do the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing, motivating and training housekeeping staff to our clients cleaning standards
- Handling guest queries or issues professionally and promptly
- Reporting room damage or breakages to the maintenance team to ensure repairs are completed before the next guest arrival
- Cleaning bedrooms and reception rooms to a consistently high standard
- Maintaining clean, tidy and well-organised linen rooms
- Learning and following procedures for linen, security, keys, lost property and stock control
- Ensuring the safety of yourself, the team and guests by adhering to all health and safety procedures
- Meeting agreed productivity targets so rooms are ready for check-in
- Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting colleagues when required
Advantageous Attributes
- Ability to understand, follow and maintain high standards

- Good communication skills and a high level of spoken English
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Previous experience in a similar housekeeping or supervisory role
- A genuine, approachable and attentive personality
Due to our rural location, own transport is essential.

Salary: £30,000 per year
